KLONDIKE, CP Army Headquarters – With August, and the summer now coming to an end, it is time to name our final Reporter of the Month for August. Who did we select?
This month was quite a busy month for our reporters. With several retirements, promotions, wars, and other things taking place this month, it is safe to say that our reporters had quite a busy month with topics to knock out. After another successful month in the books, there can only be one Reporter of the Month.
Please let me be the first one to congratulate Disha as our Reporter of the Month for August!
Disha was recruited into the Army Community by ROOBOO and Elp back in May of last year, where she joined the Help Force. Shortly after, she left them and joined the Silver Empire and has been there ever since. Currently, she is Sixth in Command with them and has loved it ever since. She only joined the Reporting Team about a month ago but has written an astounding amount of posts, eight to be exact, which have all been excellent. Some of her best posts include, but are not limited to Templars Claim Victory After a 2-2 Score, Ugly Steps Down from Fire Warriors Leadership, and Challengers Cup 2 Championship Predictions. Each three of these posts have received above an 8/10 score which is quite the feat for our reporters.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Disha and discuss her thoughts about being named our Reporter of the Month.
Why did you want to become a reporter?
Journalism, as a discipline has always intrigued me, and I have always wanted to be an active part of the army community. To me, that was through being aware of all that is going on, which is one of the main things, that a reporter does. I have written articles earlier for publication purposes. I felt that taking up the role of a reporter here, in an online platform would give me a new outlook and experience, and only enhance my understanding of the concerned field of study.
What would you say has been your favorite part of the job so far?
I honestly cannot vote on a favorite, because, by far, my experience here, has been really wholesome and simply wonderful. Everyone is so kind, helpful, and supportive of each other, that it only makes me want to better myself. I am getting to learn so much every day, and I love that about this job. With each new post, comes a new opportunity, to not only explore an avenue that may or may not have been ventured before, but also improve on one’s writing skills – and I believe, I am just getting started.
This is only the beginning for a few reasons. The main one is that you are hereby named the Reporter of the Month for August!
Well, at the moment, I honestly am just focusing on learning as much as I can, from all of you, and everyone that is a part of this community. I really haven’t given a thought as to how I want my future to look like, in this position, but I will definitely continue to work to the best of my abilities, and be as active as possible here. I guess only time can tell, where that will take me!
With another successful month of reporting in the books, words can’t express how thankful Editors and Administrators are for our wonderful reporters. They are truly the gears that keep this organization going and keep us moving along. It will be exciting to see how next month plays out for us with our amazing group of reporters. Congratulations again to Disha and thank you again for all your hard work for this organization.
